These two amazing tamariki are new to Rangikura this year but have fitted in fantastically well. They have made lots of new friends and displayed awesome academic ability and social skills. Rangikura is lucky to have you girls! Keep up the GREAT work!

We're Going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo!

Room 1 is off on a trip to Wellington Zoo!!!  Please return the notice to school as soon as possible.  There is NO cost for the children and if you would like to come with us you will need to meet us at the zoo and pay your own subsidised entry of $7.50.  (Details on attached notice)

Room One had what can only be described as an AWESOME afternoon today!

Our good friend Sendahrya and her whanau generously celebrated her 7th birthday with us by bringing in some yummy chocolate cupcakes and fruit kebabs.

We all loved meeting Sendahrya's Mum, Grandmother and little brother even more than we loved the food!

What Can You Do To Be A Good Friend?

Room One have been busy discussing what they can do to be good friends to one another.

Harold the Giraffe recommends sharing, caring and helping, and Damon Jr. from Room One suggested listening was also an important part of being a good friend. Ka rawe Damon Jr!

Reaching For the Stars with Harold the Giraffe!

Room One had an exciting morning today on the Life Education trailer working with Kapa and our new mate Harold the Giraffe. We learned about how to treat our friends to make sure they are happy and safe, and how we can use their facial expressions to see how they are feeling. We will be Superheroes of kindness!

Here in Room One we have been studying the work of Italian artist Amedo Modigliani, who was famous for his portraits.

Our task was creating a self-portrait in the style of Modigliani....I think Room One did an amazing job!
