On Monday we were so lucky to have Juliette MacIver come to visit us and read some of her books. She is a great author and we just loved the way she acted out some scenes from her book. We hope she comes to visit us again soon!
As part of our Inquiry learning we have started designing our very own games. We are designing them for people to play in the future. Some of us are designing games that are played on iPads and others can be played in real life. Watch this space to see what creative ideas we come up with.
Wow we had such a fun day in class today. We have been reading and listening to the Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. To celebrate our learning we created a whole wall dedicated to the story.
I feel really lucky to have such a great class who work together so well - Room 1 rocks!!!
Yesterday was our last day at the pool. We had a great time and we can't wait for next year to get back into the pool to learn some more about how to stay safe in the water. Thanks to all parents and caregivers for ensuring our tamariki had everything they needed to be successful in the water.
We had another great day at the pool. We are becoming more confident in the water - which is really important for our learning. We can't wait to go back tomorrow.
We had so much fun today talking about the past and the present. This is important learning for our topic this term. Please encourage our tamariki to talk to you about how things worked in the past versus how they work now.
This week we were so lucky to have Ms. Holland come to room 1 to share some stories with us. She even took us on a Bear Hunt and we got such a fright at the end of the story when we found the bear. We hope Ms. Holland will come to visit us again soon.
The sun decided to pay Rangikura School a visit today so we just had to get outside for a play. We had a great time playing 'Duck Duck Goose'. For some of us this was a new game to learn and it was great to see everyone working together and helping each other. We hope the sun comes back tomorrow.
Please feel free to leave us a comment - we love reading them.
